STOPPING TO SMELL THE ROSES

I had the honor of taking family photos for Tina and her extended family again this year! The weather was absolutely perfect on this afternoon--golden sun, blue skies, and crisp air. During the photoshoot, an 阿公 (grandpa) passing by asked Tina's 阿公 how old he was (maybe that's a normal greeting for the elderly instead of just saying "hi," haha!) After exchanging ages, the 阿公 said "Wow, you are so blessed - your beautiful family still surrounds you!"

Isn't that so true? What a blessing it is to get to be close to your loved ones. Living across the world from my two siblings and their families can be really hard sometimes. But it makes each time we get to reunite all the more sweet :)
